What Are Lingual Braces?
Lingual braces are fixed orthodontic appliances that are fitted to the inside surface of your teeth, meaning they’re completely hidden from sight. Like traditional braces, they apply continuous gentle pressure through brackets and wires, moving teeth into a better position over time. However, unlike traditional systems, they are positioned discreetly behind your teeth.
The lingual system we use at our clinic is not custom-designed or bespoke, meaning it’s a standardised approach suitable only for mild orthodontic corrections. The success and suitability depend significantly on how your teeth bite together, which we’ll assess during your initial consultation. It’s not a primary treatment we recommend, but it can be effective for patients needing only subtle adjustments.

Your treatment
Our specialist team will carefully fit your lingual braces, providing comprehensive guidance on maintaining good oral hygiene and comfort throughout your treatment. Regular check-ups every 6–8 weeks will track your progress.
Your aftercare
After completing treatment, you’ll receive two sets of custom-made retainers. We’ll support you with a full year of aftercare appointments to secure your results long-term.
